Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

This Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program was established in 1979 by Jon-Kabat-Zinn at the Massachusetts Medical Centre for people suffering chronic and acute stress, chronic pain and illness, and asssociated anxiety and depression.  This is an eight week program run one night/day a week for 2.5 hours and one full day program during the course.  The course cultivates and teaches participants a range of mindfulness practices in order to cultivate an observant, accepting, non-judgmental and compassionate attitude towards their own experiences.  These experiences are made up of and include thoughts and cognitions, emotional states, body sensations and impulses.  There is a lot of research around the efficacy and effectiveness of the MBSR program for a wide range of problems related to physical, mental and emotional health.

Jenn Apps will run this program in  Geelong in Term 2, 2018.  For further details please email  [email protected] or text/call  Jenn Apps 0409 968430
